Late night hunger struck again. Options are limited in Champaign past midnight - your choice between McDonalds, Merry Anne's, Perkins, Steak n Shake, or Chopstix. I thought the idea of DELIVERY sounded good, so I chose Chopstix! I did read the reviews first and I set my expectations low. I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment building, so after reading the reviews, I prepared myself with shoes, etc to go outside and meet the rude driver who would probably have trouble locating my building #. I also prepared myself for an hour wait. I was PLEASANTLY surprised that a half hour later, a knock on my door and it was a very nice young man with a beaming smile and friendly demeanor. They called ahead and let me know that one of the appetizers I ordered was not available, so they offered me a choice of another one, and then REFUNDED my money for the other app - the delivery driver handed me COD for not having one of the items I ordered. I made sure to tip him well and then I settled down to open up the delivered package. I only ordered appetizers, no combos or meals. Chopstix has awesome crab rangoons - I personally like my crab rangoons with a lot of filling, and not too much extra crunchy wonton wrapping. Chopstix rangoons are packed full with the creamy goodness and they are folded like omelettes -amazing. I also ordered the chicken wings which turned out great! kudo's to them for that. I did order the fried wonton's (because they were out of the chicken skewers) and I actually did not care for them. That's ok! I just won't order those again. I ordered Egg Rolls as well and they were very good. All in all, a much better experience than what others have had. I will say that Chopstix is your basic, quick, open late, delivery chinese food. Nothing to write home about, but I wanted to take time to leave them a good review to give them a pat on the back for good service this evening.

I fucking love chopstix. Y'all, they have hella vegan options that use the same sauce as the non-soyboy food. Orange tofu, sesame tofu, general tso's tofu, kung pao tofu, etc.
Shit is lit.
Obviously, its chopstix so its not amazing chinese. But it's exactly what you'd expect. It's decent, it's open late, its cheap, and fuck do I love the orange tofu. -

Overview:
It hurts me to give Chopstix a 3 star review because I love this restaurant, but their food is inconsistent and can be quite bad. When it is good, it is delicious late night Chinese food that I love to eat. However, about every 1 in 3 times I go, I get bad food. The dishes can be dramatically overcooked or have unexpected bones in the meat. If you are picking up food, try some before leaving to make sure it seems okay. If you are looking for a good Chinese meal at UIUC, there are other better places nearby. However, It is a the best option for late night food.
Recommended Dish:
The General Tso's Chicken is very tasty and I think the best near UIUC if you are looking for greasy, fatty, and delicious fried chicken. Just check to make sure, its not overcooked when picking it up. You can get it in 2 options. 1: Combo - smaller portion that comes with egg roll and fried rice. 2: Entree - Larger portion of chicken with only white rice. I tend to get the entree because I want more chicken. -

Definitely the best Chinese food on campus.
Biggest menu that I have ever seen, amazing hours (open till 3 am), always friendly and very fast
Highly recommend if you want authentic or American Chinese food -

The food is filling and good for the price. Definitely not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but hits the spot. Shrimp fried rice is pretty good and the lo mein is decent. If you're looking for quick, relatively inexpensive, and decent Chinese food, chopstix is the way to go
